TIPS FOR YOUR PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

Join Dr. Reo Leslie, LMFT, LPC, CAC III, Founder, Director and teacher for The Colorado School for Family Therapy, will share how to avoid taking on unnecessary risk and liabilities as a professional psychotherapist. Dr Leslie will discuss limiting your liability while practicing within the Colorado legal requirements of DORA regulation and the law while protecting the public and your practice. He will share tips for developing political alliances to expand and protect psychotherapy businesses, reducing the risk of grievances and lawsuits in a psychotherapy practice, and how to appropriately respond to a DORA regulatory board complaint.


Dr. Leslie, an Advisory Board member to the Colorado Association of Psychotherapists, has 36 years Post-MDiv experience in counseling, consulting, clinical supervision, teaching, and training. Dr. Leslie is a former Professional Member and Vice Chair of the Colorado LPC Examiners Board and was appointed in 2007 by Governor Ritter as the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Representative on the Colorado Commission for Criminal and Juvenile Justice.
