Kate is a BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) senior registered counsellor and supervisor who uses an existential approach to her work. Kate is a core faculty member of the Therapeutic Writing Institute (Denver), on the staff of the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (London), an associate of the Boulder Psychotherapy Institute and serves on the council of the National Association of Journal Writing. She is also a journal therapist, workshop facilitator and published author of several books and articles.

Expressive writing is increasingly shown to be a powerful therapeutic tool. Many therapists recommend journal writing to their clients but neglect to offer the same beneficial tools for themselves. We’ll look at how classic journal techniques can be applied to both clients and professionals to further goals of learning and self-awareness. Don’t forget to bring a something to write with!!!
