"Concerning a limitation on when certain disciplinary actions may be commenced against a mental health professional, and, in connection therewith, requiring that a mental health professional provide notice to former clients regarding record retention[,] and that all complaints be resolved by the agency [DORA] within two years after the date the complaint was filed."

CAP supported bill HB17-1011 is up on Thursday January 26, 2017 at 1:30pm in House Committee Room 0107. CAP Legislative Committee Chair Dr. Reo Leslie has been lead on guiding support for this bill which sets limitations on complaints that can be filed against mental health professionals. Currently there are none and you need to keep records forever. This bill sets a limit of 7 years after the alleged act. We hope you can at sit in on the Health, Insurance and Environment Committee hearing.
