Join this CAP Denver Network meeting to learn about "Motherloss – an ongoing therapeutic group for women" presented by Ruby Seastone, PhD, and Colette Pfeiffer, Registered Psychotherapist.

Premature loss of your mother as a result of death, divorce or abandonment impacts your whole being, and can change the course of your life in profound ways, including creating deep seated feelings of abandonment, a lack of grounding or felt sense of belonging, lack of self-love and self-confidence, fear of intimacy and even disconnection from Spirit. Group therapy provides a powerful space in which to share and heal such issues.

Join us to learn how the Motherloss group provides insights, connections, sisterhood, empathy, laughter and tears …to assist in healing this primal wounding. Also learn where and when this group is offered by Ruby Seastone and Colette Pfeiffer, facilitators.

Colette Pfeiffer is a registered psychotherapist, trained in psychosynthesis, gestalt and existential psychotherapy. Due to her parents’ divorce she was raised from the age of 4 – 16 with no contact with her mother. Understanding the impact of the loss of this relationship has been a journey of powerful healing and discovery which still continues.

Ruby Seastone PhD has been a registered psychotherapist and art therapist in private practice for over 20 years. Her work includes gestalt, body-mind integrating, existential and therapeutic arts psychotherapy. Ruby’s mother died of breast cancer when Ruby was 11 years old, an event that had far-reaching impact on shaping the woman she would become.

The Denver CAP Network is dedicated to "Integrity, Diversity and Belonging". Our monthly meetings are hosted under the leadership of CAP members Karin Dremel and Dr Carol Ann Watson.

We at CAP hope you will be able to attend this meeting to lunch, learn and network. There is no charge for attendance. You may bring your lunch or purchase something at Natural Grocers. (Free parking is available). The meeting is held in the kitchen meeting room located in the southeast corner of the market.

CAP is building a Resource Data Base to enable us to fill meeting/speaking dates well in advance.  This will ensure continuity of monthly meetings and help you save the dates.  Please share with us information about interesting speakers you see or meet elsewhere...or how about yourself?  Send suggestions for continuing education speakers to kdremel@msudenver.edu
