Now there is another resource - in addition to 911 - Registered Psychotherapists can offer to their client at any moment of crisis regardless of day or time.  For the first time in history, Colorado now has a statewide crisis hot line, called the Colorado Crisis and Support Line.   This service will offer Colorado residents a crisis Line that is 100% free.  It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week providing access to a trained mental health professional.  It offers in the moment, crisis support, intervention, and consultation.

With the Colorado Crisis and Support Line, there is no “No wrong door” to access services, regardless of insurance.  It offers immediate help when it’s needed, and links callers with resources appropriate to their community.  In addition, friends and family members are able to access professional guidance for a loved one they might be concerned about.

Carmen Jimenez is the Northeast Regional Coordinator.  She is a LCSW with a background in community mental health.  As the Regional Coordinator, her duties include identifying and building relationships with stakeholders in the communities such as Weld County, Larimer County, Logan County, Morgan County and other areas in Eastern Colorado.   She will be Identifying community needs, and be the liaison between the communities and the Colorado Crisis and Support Line.

Please join us to learn about this important resource.

Additonally, CAP is starting a data base to fill meeting/speaking dates well in advance for meeting continuity and so you can save the date.  Please support CAP in offering suggestons or topics and about yourself?
